Estimate my royalties : New service in your member account

December 2024

As always, Sacem is dedicated to giving you access to more services, transparency, and information about royalty distributions.

Check out the new Estimate my royalties service in your member account.

This tool provides information on how much you will get from Sacem in royalties from radio and television broadcasts, concerts, and the main music streaming platforms.

HOW DO I ESTIMATE MY ROYALTIES?

Head over to the menu in your member account > Broadcast data and estimation > Estimate my royalties.

1.    Select a category: radio, television, concerts, or streaming.
2.    Provide contextual information: work, duration, number of plays, etc.
3.    Get an estimate of the amount paid out.

PLEASE NOTE

  • You can estimate your royalties for a particular work in your catalogue in order to obtain the share to which you are entitled. In concert, you can get an estimate for a setlist that you have registered.
  • To get as close an estimate as possible: for radio, the calculation takes into account the genre coefficient of the work. For television, it takes into account the genre coefficient and the time-of-day coefficient. For concerts, you can choose the type of performance: supporting act or headline act (with or without supporting act).

IMPORTANT

The estimate obtained corresponds to the amount of royalties before deductions for compulsory contributions and taxes. It is calculated on the basis of the value per second of broadcast or the value per stream from the previous distributions and does not constitute a guarantee of the exact amount of the distribution to come.

For Sacem to be able to distribute royalties, the following conditions must be met: the work must have been declared, it must have been played, the rights must have been paid to Sacem by the broadcaster and Sacem must be in possession of the broadcasting data.
