Prepared and amended by the European Commission, the text of the "Copyright/authors' rights Directive in the Digital Single Market" which takes into account the interests of creators faced with the giants of the net, will soon be debated in the European Parliament.
Faced with the desire expressed by some parliamentarians to question the right of creators to obtain fair remuneration for the use of their works on the internet, European artists are rallying and appealing for elected officials to take responsibility.
More than 20,400 have signed the petition launched by GESAC (European Grouping of Societies of Authors and Composers).
